Here you will find information about the Medical Sciences Service learning projects available to you. It is our mission to not only provide the best in medical education, but also to offer a diversity of community experience that will enrich both mind and spirit.


Bloomington Medical Sciences Service Learning Mission Statement


The Medical Sciences Service Learning fosters a lifelong commitment to community service for Medical Sciences students through innovative service-learning experiences. Although regional, we recognize we are part of a larger organization and commitment that encompasses all elements of the Indiana University School of Medicine.


  •  All Medical Sciences students have an equal opportunity to participate in a broad range of
    service-learning experiences, including curricular and co-curricular programs.
  •  All students (tomorrow’s physicians) embrace their public responsibility as advocates for the
    health and well-being of the community.
